As a beginner to barramundi fishing our charter with Carpentaria Barra Fishing was my 4th experience over the past 10years and first time in Karumba. Having only caught a few smaller barramundi in the past, I really needed Gavin’s expertise when I unexpectedly hooked a big one. Gavin knew it was a good size and yet calmly provided advice to me over the hour it took to bring this 143 cm barra in. Without his guidance and boat skills this story would have been about the “one that got away” ! I would recommend Carpentaria Barra fishing to anyone, not just for my fish but for a really enjoyable day out as Gavin goes above and beyond your expectations as an
excellent fishing charter operator. A truly memorable “1.43 metre day” and experience. – Christine Kiehne, 19/05/2014
